You can reach any location in the world; there are no invisible barriers anywhere. Everything you see is within your reach. You can walk/run, Jump, crouch, swim, dive, climb. Travel freely by mount, ship, on a vehicle or by magical means. Darkfall features fully player controlled mounts, ships and boats and vehicles.

There is no radar in Darkfall, there are no floating names, you need to use your senses. You can use both audio and visual cues, and you need to be careful of your movements, if you want to go undetected.

Experience a world brought to life by real-world physics and dynamic lighting and shadows. Watch trees and grass sway in the wind as sunlight peeks through passing clouds. Observe the movements of Agon's twin moons, which are part of a dynamic planetary system with smooth day/night cycles. Darkfall’s dynamic environment system features real weather simulation, real day/night cycles, a planetary system, and variable cloud cover and thickness.

Breathtaking scenery varying from tropical jungles to frozen continents - The world is completely handmade and full of diversity. Darkfall's terrain has been painstakingly hand-crafted by our artists, rather than conveniently auto-generated. This makes for non-repetitive, unpredictable, and unique locations to explore, discover and use. Darkfall's world is full of wonders, small and large.

Compete with other players and use skill, teamwork, and territory knowledge to complete Darkfall’s challenging quests. There are hundreds of general and faction quests. Take on faction quests and travel to the far reaches of Agon to discover the world’s lore. Your rewards include items, spells, and game knowledge.

Explore hundreds of unique Dungeons and far off hidden adventure areas throughout Agon to find powerful and strange monsters, and loot them of their treasures. All dungeons are un-instanced fostering competition among players and guilds fighting to control them.

In Darkfall there’s also a strategic need for exploration and adventure. Terrain, remote or strategic locations can be used to your advantage. Search for a base to set up your own city or use your skills and territory knowledge to scout out enemy clans and cities. The hunger to control as much of Agon as possible is an adventure in itself.
